The old man, in the Bible, is not a figure of wear but of authority — 'children's children are the crown of old men' (Proverbs 17:6), 'wisdom is with aged men' (Job 12:12), and at the summit of revelation the Ancient of Days himself sits on his throne, his garment white as snow (Daniel 7:9). Simeon is the old man who recognizes Christ. If in your dream an old man speaks to you of a child, a beginning, a promise — often he blesses what you carry without yet clearly seeing it yourself.

Call to the posture of wisdom — patience, slowness, rare speech. Not a sign about your age; a call about your voice.
