Contextual discernment
Why do I dream of angel since my conversion?
This angle exists only in the biblical reading. Here is the general reading of angel, with no religious reference.
General reading
Without a religious lens, an 'angel' figure in a dream is usually your own mind giving a shape and a voice to guidance you already possess but haven't fully trusted — an inner sense of what's right, dressed up as an outside messenger because it's easier to listen to something that looks separate from you. A protective angelic presence often appears during a period when you feel unusually exposed or unsupported in waking life, and the dream compensates by supplying the reassurance you need. An angel that delivers a specific message or phrase is worth writing down on waking — it's frequently the clearest sentence your subconscious has managed to produce about a decision you're circling. A frightening or overwhelming presence, even if it looks 'good', often signals that you're anxious about a situation asking more of you than you feel ready to give. The useful question is not 'what did the angel want' but: what do I already know I should do, that I've been waiting for permission to hear from someone else?
