Contextual discernment
Why do I dream of dove since my conversion?
This angle exists only in the biblical reading. Here is the general reading of dove, with no religious reference.
General reading
In plain, non-religious terms, a dove in a dream almost always signals peace, resolution, or reconciliation — the sense that a conflict or a long period of tension is finally settling. A dove that lands on you or brings something (a branch, a letter) frequently shows up right as a real situation quietly resolves itself, sometimes before you consciously register that it has. A dove that flies away as you approach, or that you can't reach, often mirrors a peace you want but haven't fully allowed yourself yet — you can see it, but something in you keeps it at a distance. A wounded or killed dove usually reflects grief over a reconciliation that didn't happen, or a truce that broke. The useful question is not 'is peace coming' but: what would I actually need to let go of, to stop chasing peace and let it land?
