A key opens what no force can force. Christ presents himself as the one who has 'the key of David: when he opens, no one shuts' (Revelation 3:7). Wrong door. Often we force a situation God has not opened. Return to discernment before forcing.
You carry a bunch of keys
Many responsibilities. Pastoral oversight season — each key = a domain entrusted, each to honor.
A shining gold key
Precious, often prophetic. Note it, share with a shepherd — it may concern a long project God wants to open.
An old, rusted key
Forgotten promise. Something old in your life waits to be opened — spiritual inheritance, vocation, inner place.
You give your key to someone
Transmission. You are not called to carry everything — someone must receive a responsibility you held.
