What does the Bible say about dreaming of marriage?
This angle exists only in the biblical reading. Here is the general reading of marriage, with no religious reference.
General reading
Outside religious symbolism, a wedding in a dream is rarely literally about romance — it's about commitment, merging, or a major life alignment coming into focus, whether that's a relationship, a decision, or a new identity you're stepping into. A joyful wedding often shows up when two parts of your life (or two parts of yourself) are finally coming together in a way that feels right. A wedding you want to flee, or marrying someone you don't want, usually reflects a commitment in waking life that you agreed to too quickly, or one that no longer fits who you've become. Dreaming of an ex returning to marry you rarely means you want them back — it usually means an old pattern or unfinished feeling is resurfacing to be resolved. The useful question is not 'who was I marrying' but: what am I currently being asked to commit to, and does it actually reflect who I am right now?
