Losing money or having it stolen usually reflects anxiety about being taken advantage of, or a fear that your effort isn't being fairly rewarded. Counting money obsessively frequently points to a real preoccupation with whether you're 'enough' — capable, secure, worthy — rather than actual cash concerns.
