Wine is, in the Bible, the symbol of shared joy (Psalm 104:15), of covenant (the cup of the Last Supper, Matthew 26:27-28), of the new Spirit ('new wine into new wineskins,' Mark 2:22), and — by contrast — of the drunkenness that blinds (Ephesians 5:18). To dream of wine is almost always to dream of the Spirit: poured out, shared, refused, or counterfeited by another form of drunkenness. Christ's first miracle was to turn water into wine (John 2); his last act before the cross was to share the cup. Wine is never neutral.

The miracle of Cana inverts the order of the world: God keeps the best for the end. If you dream of new, abundant, unexpected wine, it is often a promise — what you thought lost (joy, hope, ministry) returns purer than before.
Acts 2:13-17
« Others mocking said, 'They are full of new wine.' But Peter... said, 'These are not drunk... but this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh.' »
The new wine of Pentecost is the Spirit. If you dream of being poured, filled, overflowing like a cup of wine, it is a word of spiritual outpouring — often just before a sending.
Matthew 26:27-28
« Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. »
Wine is the cup of the covenant. If in your dream you drink a cup with others, or with Christ, it is a word of covenant renewal — often after a time of distance.
Ephesians 5:18
« Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. »
Paul opposes the two drunkennesses. If you dream of drunkenness, loss of control, spilled wine: a serious examination is needed regarding an escape (alcohol, screens, purchases, sensations) that has replaced the holy drunkenness.
You receive or drink new, abundant wine
Promise of outpouring. Often received before a season of personal or collective renewal. Receive without earning — Cana is not earned.
You share a cup with Christ or with brothers
Covenant renewal. The Lord brings you back to the table — often after a time of distance, shame, or doubt.
Spilled, lost, wasted wine
Serious reading. Something precious has been lost by negligence — time, anointing, opportunity. No condemnation, but examination.
Wine turned into blood, or the reverse
Direct link with the Lord's Supper. Meditation on the cross is asked. Often received in eucharistic season or before a baptism.
You refuse wine offered to you
Examination: are you refusing a joy, a fellowship, a consolation that the Lord is extending to you? Sometimes sobriety is wisdom, sometimes it is hardness.
You are drunk, you lose control
Warning (Ephesians 5:18). Not necessarily literal alcohol — any drunkenness that anesthetizes. What area has become an escape?
Wine in new wineskins
Reference to Mark 2:22. The Lord prepares you to receive something new that would not hold in your old structures. Be ready to let the form change.
