Contextual discernment
Why do I dream of fire since my conversion?
This angle exists only in the biblical reading. Here is the general reading of fire, with no religious reference.
General reading
Without religious language, fire in dreams almost always represents intensity — anger, passion, urgency, or transformation that's moving faster than you can control. A fire that warms without harming often shows up during a season when something in you is finally being fueled again: motivation, desire, creative energy. A fire that destroys or spreads out of control usually mirrors a real situation that's escalating — a conflict, a workload, a feeling you've suppressed until it combusted. Watching a fire from a safe distance versus being caught inside it says a lot about how much control you feel you have right now. The useful question is not 'what does fire mean' but: what in my life is burning through my restraint faster than I'm dealing with it — and is it clearing space, or just destroying?
