When a dream becomes a message — discerning without overheating.
Some dreams take the direct form of a message: a book opens, writing appears on a wall, a phone rings, an angel speaks, a mirror reflects. These are the most discussed in Scripture: Pharaoh's dream, Daniel's vision, the writing on the wall (Daniel 5), the angel speaking to Joseph. They call for strengthened discernment.
Daniel 5:5

Writing on the wall is the archetype of an external message asking for interpretation. Never alone: Daniel is summoned. If you dream of words being written, ask someone you trust to help you read.
Revelation 5:1
« I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. »
A book in a dream is almost always a word about your life as an open book before God, or a Word to receive. A closed book, a book you search for, a book offered: each nuance matters.

Golden rule for these dreams: never draw a conclusion alone from a dream that 'speaks.' The most striking dreams are precisely the ones to submit to a trusted confidant, to the Word, to the community. Scripture confirms it every time (Joseph, Daniel, Pharaoh, Peter).
